IRU-compliant layout
Every generated PDF follows the IRU 2007 model layout — numbered boxes in the correct order, legal text strip, 4-copy colour convention. Accepted across Europe without amendment.
CMR and AVC modes
Switch between international CMR (Geneva Convention 1956) and Dutch AVC 2002 with a single toggle. Both modes share the same structured form and PDF output.
ADR / dangerous goods
The goods table includes a dedicated ADR/UN column. Hazardous shipments are correctly recorded in the structured data and printed in the PDF.
Automatic PDF generation
Completing the form and exporting generates a print-ready PDF. Stored in your archive immediately — retrievable by transport reference, date, sender, or consignee.
Searchable archive

Fill the structured form
Open a new CMR in the portal. Enter sender, consignee, carrier, goods lines, and carriage conditions. All fields validate against the CMR convention structure — required boxes are clearly marked.

Export the PDF
Click export. A print-ready IRU-layout PDF is generated instantly. Print four originals for signing — or use as an electronic consignment note where accepted by the carrier and consignee.

Archive and retrieve
The CMR record is stored in your archive alongside your PODs. Filter by date, reference, sender, or consignee. Export individual records or a full audit dataset at any time.

CMR questions
What is a CMR consignment note?
A CMR consignment note is the internationally standardised freight document required for cross-border road transport under the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR, Geneva 1956). It records sender, consignee, carrier, goods, and conditions of carriage.
What is the difference between CMR and AVC?
CMR is the international convention form used across Europe and beyond. AVC (Algemene Vervoerscondities 2002) is the Dutch domestic variant with its own standard terms. Podfy supports both modes — switch between CMR and AVC with a single toggle in the form.
How is the CMR add-on priced?
The CMR add-on is priced at €0.23 per CMR generated. This is separate from your POD pricing — generating a CMR does not count as a processed POD. The add-on is available on Advanced and Pro plans.
Do drivers or recipients need to install anything?
No. Podfy generates the CMR PDF in the portal. The document is printed and signed physically, or signed on-screen where accepted. No app installation is required for any party.
How long are CMR records stored?
CMR records are stored for the duration of your plan's retention period. All metadata, the structured form data, and the generated PDF are retained and searchable from the portal. Export is available at any time.
Can I use CMR without also using Podfy for POD?
The CMR generator is an add-on that works alongside your Podfy POD subscription. It is not available as a standalone product. Contact us if you want to discuss your specific setup.
