PODFY QR Reporting · Municipal & public space

A full container?
Residents tell you, per location.

Underground and street containers are emptied on a schedule, while residents see the problem: a full container, a stuck flap or rubbish dumped next to it. A QR code on each container gives them a direct way to report it, with the location already known.

Example of a QR reporting form

Residents see it every day. Your planners do not.

Municipalities and waste collectors manage thousands of containers. Reports arrive through general apps and phone lines, often with an approximate address, and need manual work before a crew can act.

PODFY QR Reporting gives every container its own QR code. Residents scan it, choose the problem and can add a photo. The report arrives with the exact container, ready for your planners or your public space system.

Collection planning and enforcement stay with your own systems and teams.

  • QR code per container with exact location
  • Categories for full, stuck, damage and dumping
  • Photo of the situation
  • Reports to planning or public space teams
  • Webhook into your public space system
  • No app or account for residents
Dangerous waste or fire in a container goes to the emergency number. The report is for collection and maintenance.

How teams use it

Use case 01

Full containers

Extra collections where residents report them, not only on the fixed schedule.

Use case 02

Damage and stuck flaps

Maintenance crews know the exact container before they leave the depot.

Use case 03

Dumping

Photos of dumped waste next to a container, linked to the location and time.

Getting started

Your asset list in, stickers out

  1. Download the template and fill in your asset numbers, names and locations, or export them from your own system.
  2. Upload it to PODFY. Every asset number becomes the reference behind its own QR code.
  3. Print the stickers. One per asset, with your logo and your own text, such as "Container full? Scan to report".
  4. Stick and go. Reports arrive with the asset already identified.

FAQ

Questions about waste containers

Do residents need to download the municipality app?

No. They scan the code with their phone camera and the form opens in the browser.

Can reports go into our public space system?

Yes. Reports can be sent to your system with a webhook, and e-mailed to the teams you choose.

How do we add our machines or assets?

Download the asset template, fill in your asset numbers, names and locations, and upload it. Every asset number becomes the reference on its own QR code.

Where is report data stored?

Reports and photos are stored in the EU on the same platform as PODFY's delivery records. E-mail delivery uses the subprocessors listed on the Trust page.
